Recycled Cedar
. . . .when money is tight and conservation comes to mind
There's only one thing  you can do with some old cedar ... that's recycle it .. Saved
on money  saved on material
The material at hand,....20 - 25  year
old cedar fence pickets
. . .with the acquisition of some newer components such as   PVC lattice, 2
x stock, and a little creativity  from the craftsman (designer / installer)
Mixing the old with the new gives  new meaning to  rustic  and new life
to what other wise would been discarded,
The only screws in this type of application are what has adhered
the panel to the deck posts
The secret you  may ask ??  Well there's none really with
the proper tools, and some minor wood working knowledge
and determination one could tackle this project on their own

This project was completed with the use of a Sears
Craftsman Excaliber Dado Blade, a Delta Hollow Chisel
Mortiser and of course working knowledge of the tools at
hand.. This project could also be completed  by hand  with
some chisels, a drill & table
The joinery  IE  fastening of the panel components  is
none other  than what is called  and known as Mortise and
Tenon  Joinery,....  one of the strongest fastening  joints
there is
Biscuit joinery would not stand up to the elements as
much  unless persay expensive exterior glues were used
to manitin  the integrity of the joint s
ENJOY ! ! ! !
. . . there's  much  more to come
